ABOUT THE NAME
The name Butterfly Kisses comes from the one Scott/Rogue fanfic that I really enjoyed reading when I first started reading fanfiction from my early days of looking for Scott/Rogue stuff, and I thought it would be a perfect name for a Scogue fansite!
SITE HISTORY
Butterfly Kisses was started in March of 2005, and was opened to the public on May 13, 2005. Butterfly Kisses moves from its Geocities account to my domain, Muse-Insanity.org, on September 5, 2006. It later went offline in either late 2008 or 2009 due to lack of funds for the domain. Since then, the site was offline until November 3, 2013, when the site was recreated on my new domain JustaFangirl.org. Although the site's files had been lost during a few computer crashes during 2008-2013, the Wayback Machine had managed to capture some pictures of it, letting me to be able to rebuild the site. The site ultimately had to move to tumblr due to the domain going down due to lack of funds where it stayed, fairly static (because I lost the e-mail connected to it? IDKWID) until December 25, 2024 where it found a new home on Neocities.
ABOUT THE WEBMISTRESS
Hello all! My name is Stephanie and I've been an X-Men fan since I was a child, when my sister and I discovered X-Men: The Animated Series in the 90s. Like everyone else I was a fan of Rogue/Gambit and Scott/Jean (or at least that's what I think 'cause they were canon but honestly I can't really remember that far back), but I also really loved Rogue and Scott individually (and they still remain on my top X-Men character list), and I think deep down I must have also liked them together because when I watched X-Men: Evolution and saw the connection between Rogue and Scott, it didn't seem odd to me and I absolutely loved their connection and storyline. My shipper heart has never went back, because I love this pairing more than any other X-Men pairing I've been a fan of and while it might never actually become canon in any universe, I'll still ship it.
